Much of the content on this site comes from a desire to know Jesus better and live in a way that pleases God. Many of the topics come from our own questions about life and God, or from our own needs and struggles. We hope this site will lead you into further study of God’s Word on your own – don’t take our word for anything! Here are a few specific goals:
To believe that God is God, and Jesus is His Son
John 20:31: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
1 Cor 15:1-4: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Rom 10:9-11: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
To know Jesus better
Php 3:8-9: Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Php 3:10-11: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
John 17:3: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
To do what God wants
John 5:39: Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
2 Tim 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Tim 3:17: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
To find answers and encouragement
A lot of these studies come from our own mistakes and trials of faith. If you are going through a difficult time or have questions about life, search the Scriptures! You might identify with something we have written, but God’s Word will pierce right into your soul, giving comfort and guidance that no man ever can.
Heb 4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Disclaimer
God’s Word is alive, and not bound by the same weaknesses that we are bound by – so Scripture alone is the authority. What we write may have inaccuracies that come from our biased, fleshly minds. Please forgive this. God’s Word is enough and doesn’t need our commentary.
